Which do you prefer – A or B?
I need your opinion ….
I was selecting a picture to hang in one of my rooms, but I got stuck on which one to hang.
I printed them both thinking that would help, but I’m still stuck, so I thought I’d leave it to a vote.
I’ll randomly select a voter to receive the alternate print as a "thank you" for sharing their opinion, but I’ll wait until the 21st March to give everyone time and then notify the winner by email.
Votes can be made in the comments below or by email
So, which one do you prefer – A or B ?

Love them both but I love the way my eye is drawn out beyond the horizon in A and the mood of the photograph is reflective.
Besides, my Scots hubby would be thrilled with either one for a birthday present! š
It’s B for me Callum. I just want to be there!! Both great shots though and I’ve got just the right wall to hang the othe one ha..ha..
Nice idea the voting – great and original way to grab attention!
I want A..
So go for B!
Cheers
I’m saying B because I want the other one
Go for B,
@Helen.
Ta lass. Didn’t I send over something for Crimbo? You’ll have no wall space left soon š
Drop me an email with what you’re after and I’ll get back to you asap.
@Skip
In your head do you hear a chello or the theme to Point Break? š
Great to see you still producing some great landscape shots. I will have them both please!
How much do you charge for them if I purchase them?
B, i surf so any picture with a wave wins it for me š
A
@PaulT
Thanks bud, but 1m wide will leave no room for the frame š
@Rob
B seems to be in the lead at the moment, so fingers crossed
@Max
Wow! Thanks for your kind comment š
Callum, they are both fantastic photo`s. However I have to go for B as it is a picture, that I would enjoy looking at and it fills me with happiness.
As far as such things can be measured I’d say they are both equally beautiful, but working in different ways. A has majestic lighting, whereas B has a great depth to its composition.
Because of the way B draws you in with its composition – taking you on a journey, a fine quality in landscape photography – I’d go for B.
I’d prefer you to hang ‘B’ up in your studio as I prefer ‘A’. Send me the print so I can have it framed and hang it on the wall. I live smack bang in the middle of the UK and would love to live by the coast – this would bring me just that bit closer – great idea for response by the way!!!
Go for B and send me A.
Great idea this. You should work in marketing.
Go for A mate – classier and less stock shot. Needs to be printed bigger though, a meter wide at least. Very nice.
A – Simple beauty. Less Commercial, like it
Personally I prefer A, but hope B gets the most votes – because that would leave A as the give away – and I might be lucky!?
A – reminds me of living in Switzerland. Purely selfish reasons.
By the way, a very nice way of getting people to engage with your work. Kudos.
@ Matt … Eric & Ernie? Man after my own heart š
Quote from Eric: “My neighbour asked if he could use my lawnmower.
I told him of course he could, so long as he didn’t take it out of my garden.”
A – moodier and less picture postcard.
I prefer A.
B for me. I sick of the winter. In the words of Eric and Ernie – ‘Bring me sunshine’.
B for me. Both are great but for me the second shot has more mood and I love the subdued tones. It has a more peaceful feeling about it š
B its so inviting!
A
I love them both so totally understand your dilemma! Think I’ll go for A though – it really captures the mystery of the sea for me.
B
Iād go for B personally. I prefer the composition and light… it draws you into the centre of the shot.
B – no quetion
Thanks all for your comments (including those by twitter and email).
Thanks Gail & Karen. It would be esp useful when it’s raining outside š
Good point Eoghain. It’s to go into a cream frame in a room of cream, terracotta & dark wood (my studio space).
IanC … Very good š
Definitely B as it has such a rich warm feel to it and would brighten up any room whatever the weather outside.
I’d prefer it if you went for A – it’s a great shot and would look impressive on your wall, That would leave B as the spare which you could then send to me. Everyone’s happy.
tough question. at the risk of sounding like someone who’s read one too many copies of House Beautiful, depends what colours your room is really.
i’d hope B suited it, as it’s a happier and brighter shot.
eoghain
Although A is very ‘arty’ and expressive, I prefer the beauty and simplicity of B – Looking at that would brighten anyones day and make them feel they were constantly on holiday!
go for A.
Ian.
My preference is for A due to the mody nature of the picture and the different visions it inspires.
